The Moose and Squirrel is a secluded and quiet chalet style 2 story mountain home, surrounded by nature with multiple terraces.

Nestled on a ridge between Beech and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts, The Moose and Squirrel Chalet is 5 minutes to the charming town of Banner Elk in North Carolina where you'll find locally sourced restaurants, shopping, wineries, breweries, horseback riding and High Country adventures like whitewater rafting, trout fishing, zip lining tours, golf courses, various waterfalls, numerous hiking trails, farmers markets and local crafts and antique shoppes. 

We are 20 minutes to Blowing Rock or Boone. Area attractions include Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, Valle Crucis Mast General Store and all the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway has to offer.

Local roads are excellent adventures for motorcycle touring and cyclist enthusiasts.

Wildcat Lake is a 4 minute drive where you can swim, fish, rent a canoe and picnic.

Upstairs of the home you'll find 1 king and 1 queen bedroom, kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, bath with shower, a screened in patio with fire table and open decks to soak in the view. The upper level also has a 6 person hot tub with view, detached sauna, spa room and 1/2 bath (seasonal)

On the lower level is a queen suite with living area, electric fireplace, daybed with trundle, kitchen and bath with stone shower.

Down the steps from the lower level you'll find the detached Game room with front porch rockers, wood burning stove, saloon style bar with mini fridge, TV, slot machines, card table and dart board. 

All rooms and Game room have flat screen TVs with cable, WiFi and Internet service.
